Our Wesmere community experienced a memorable moment on Friday as one of our students conquered a challenging medical journey, providing a celebration opportunity for their family.

Friendly reminder: Tomorrow is Twinning Tuesday for Kindness Week. Additionally, there's a breakfast menu change – Mini Cinnis will be replaced by an Apple Cinnamon Nature Valley Bar.

Spring Book Fair is right around the corner!
The book fair starts on March 12th and ends on March 21st. We need volunteers to help during the day with browsing and shopping with the students.

Kindness Week... wear crazy mix-match socks and give compliments to 5 different people!

One of our main goals this year as a staff is to ensure that our students feel a sense of belonging at Wesmere. Recognizing that outdoor recess may not suit everyone, we've introduced an indoor recess option under the leadership of Mrs. Angeloni. This addition has brought many smiles and happiness to our Wesmere students, providing an alternative for unstructured time with their peers.

Some fourth and fifth-grade students, proud members of our Alpha Wolf Pack, meet after school with Ms. Anderson, utilizing their leadership skills to make a difference in our Wesmere community. We take pride in their dedication!

Our Wesmere Alpha Wolf Pack collaborated to organize Kindness Week for our school community. We are excited to witness everyone's spirit and participation throughout the week! Get ready for a week filled with kindness and positivity.

Look at these amazing Leaders of the Pack 🐺💙

Our Lost and Found is over flowing and it will be cleared out at the end of the day on Friday. Please encourage your child to check and see if any of the items belong to them!

Don't forget about our "WE are all Heart" drive at Wesmere. Currently, Mrs. Zwirblis' class is in the lead, but the competition is close! We encourage our Wesmere community to unite in supporting other Wesmere students and families in need. Take a moment to view the image below and consider how you can contribute to our community. Your support makes a meaningful difference.

Our Wesmere staff and students are 💯days smarter today

I wanted to address a recent miscommunication regarding the expectations for students wearing smartwatches during the school day.
Moving forward, we will be aligning with the guidelines outlined in the student handbook. As per the handbook, students are expected to follow the same rules for smartwatches as for their phones, requiring them to be turned off and stored in their bookbags during school hours.
We acknowledge and support parents' wishes for students to wear their watches during their commute to and from school. Therefore, staff will guide students to turn off their devices and place them in their bookbags upon arrival. When students are preparing to leave at dismissal, they will have the opportunity to put their watches back on and turn them on. This adjustment ensures compliance with the handbook while accommodating the practical needs and preferences of both students and parents.

Congratulations to this week's leaders of the pack!

We continue celebrating our amazing Wesmere staff because they make an incredible IMPACT at Wesmere!

February Breakfast and Lunch Menus

It has come to our attention that there have been multiple instances of cars entering the SOUTH parking lot after 8:30 am, affecting the safety of our students while crossing. Please be mindful about adhering to the posted signs in the parking lots. There will be heightened police presence to enforce compliance with these signs.

Our Wesmere PTO hosted an opportunity for our families to paint their own ceiling tile to be displayed at Wesmere for many years to come!

We love celebrating our Leaders of the Pack 💙🐺
