Cheers to Plainfield North High School juniors Arianna Olivares and Ella Dwyer for being true Earth heroes.
On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, they visited Lincoln Elementary to lead an Earth Day presentation for the kindergarten through second grade students.
As participants in the Climate Leaders Fellowship, run by the Stanford Deliberative Democracy Lab and Rustic Pathways Foundation, these inspiring juniors are spreading awareness about climate change and empowering our youngest students to take action.

🎶🗽 Over spring break, the Plainfield North High School Band and Choir took New York City by storm! From breathtaking performances to unforgettable cultural experiences, this tour was truly one for the books.
🎺 The PNHS Band performed at the historic Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park, while 🎶 the Choir filled the magnificent Cathedral of St. John the Divine with music—two iconic stages in the heart of NYC.
🎭 Students also stepped behind the curtain with exclusive Broadway workshops led by professional performers, gaining incredible insight into the world of musical theater.
🎼 Cultural highlights included The Magic Flute at the Metropolitan Opera House and the dazzling new Broadway musical The Great Gatsby. And of course, no trip to NYC is complete without exploring its rich arts, history, and vibrant city life.
👏 Huge congratulations to all the students for representing PNHS with such talent and passion! #202proud

Plainfield North High School hosted its second annual World Culture Fair on Friday, February 14, 2025.
“We started the culture fair to show that it’s important to celebrate diversity, but even more important is the fact that we unite and come together despite our differences, to celebrate our differences,” PNHS senior Anushka Menon said.
The event was hosted by Menon and her sister Meghna Menon, administration and other senior student board members which include Meghana Ellore, Rabiha Othman, Thea Salcedo, and Santoshi Yadagiri.
The students began preparing for the big event last fall.
“None of this would’ve been possible without the student volunteers who worked for months to make their booths and performances incredible,” Anushka Menon said.
The culture fair featured student-led performances involving 100 students and more than 20 tables representing different countries and cultures.
“The most beautiful part was that people shared parts of their cultures with people from different cultures, and I think it’s important to keep doing that years after my sister and I graduate from North,” Anushka Menon said.
“We are so honored and grateful to have been a part of the journey in starting the culture fair and we hope it continues long after we leave,” she added.
